My name is Courtney and I am 28 years old. I moved to Chicago from Iowa in 2019. My experience includes more than seven years providing childcare to family and close friends along with helping at my hometown church with Wednesday night classes and vacation bible school. I started working as an infant teacher shortly after moving to Chicago at an early childhood academy, working with children ages 3 months to 15 months. After three years of working in infant classrooms I started providing private care to families while training as a labor and postpartum doula. I focus on different milestones regarding physical, cognitive, social emotional and language development. I love making sure outside time is available and switching out activities to stimulate growing minds. Trained labor and postpartum doula working in the evenings and looking to find a family to offer care during the mornings part time. Available hours ranging M-F 6 a.m. - 1pm

Courtney is fantastic - she has been the full-time primary caregiver for our (now) 7-month old son. Over the past 4 months, Courtney has helped him with developmental milestones, fine motor skills, and is beginning language/sign language development. Every day, Courtney comes prepared with age-appropriate activities and songs. Our son loves Courtney and is always so excited to see her each morning. She's punctual, dependable, a great communicator, and is kind, caring, and thoughtful. We really lucked out with Courtney - she fits in seamlessly with our family, feels like a family member, and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an experienced caregiver!!
