I began working with children with disabilities when I was 20 at a therapeutic riding facility. I originally was hired as an assistant horse trainer, but soon began taking part in the therapeutic sessions and later went on to teach a therapeutic riding class and assisted in the development of an Autism Vaulting program. I soon realized that I had a passion for working with children with special needs and accepted a job at the Chester County Intermediate Unit, working as a PCA at the Child Career and Development Center in a non-verbal autism class. In March of 2014, I was asked to transfer to a district case and promoted to a behaviorist, which I am still currently working.
