About Courtney

Preferred name: Phoenix Pronouns: they/them I babysat children on and off after college. I took that a step up when I adopted a special needs pug, who became my entire life. I love caring for people and animals. I'm empathetic and affectionate. I was a teacher and librarian in underserved communities. It was different than babysitting. I was responsible for nurturing children's minds and perspectives of the world. My relationship with students was always open, safe, and fostered the ability to wonder. Since then, I translate this to caretaking. I have years of experience with caring for children individually and in a group. My babysitting strategy is to give them boundaries with room for fun and creativity. I also assist in housekeeping and provide tutoring.
