I have an 11-year-old cousin who is autistic who I have helped take care of ever since he was born. He is one of the sweetest kids I know and I have had such a pleasure in taking care of him for so long. I love working with children period, but working with a special needs child always seems to be so much more rewarding. I also volunteered every year at my high school through my medical program to help aid in the Special Olympics one of the local elementary school always holds. I looked forward to it every single year of high school. Children hold a special place in my heart and I love caring for them no matter if they have any challenges or not. Seeing the smiles on little ones faces when you play with and take care of them is one of the best feelings in the entire world one can have.
