About Cory

Hello there! I have 8+ years of experience working with children and teaching. I am most passionate about teaching Spanish, Ecology, Biology, and Environmental Science, but I also enjoy English/Literature and Math. I have a diverse educational background and would love to help your children succeed academically. During my final semester as an undergraduate I worked as an assistant teacher in the Environmental Studies program. As a post baccalaureate I taught two undergraduate Ecology Labs. I especially enjoyed helping students improve their writing skills and hone their research methods. I am patient with a compassionate demeanor, but also expect high quality work from my students. My teaching style promotes critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. I am also a Certified Nutrition Counselor and Health Coach. On a personal note, I love learning about other cultures, hiking, healthy food, music, art, travel, and good literature.
