About Cory

I'm Cory! I'm 24, super friendly, and I'm looking to tutor to help kids learn in an especially unconventional time to be learning. Was in all honors classes growing up and have many years tutoring and teaching! STYLE -Very collaborative: I prefer to work with kids by helping them make the connections themselves, rather than giving them the answers. -Patient: I've worked with multiple kids with dyslexia over the years, and am extremely patient when tutoring. -Easygoing and fun: I know it's difficult to connect with subjects you don't like, so I like to help students connect to many subjects. EXPERIENCE -2011-2014: Tutored 2 sisters (7th and 9th) in all subjects (Writing, Reading, Math, Spanish, Science) every day after school -2014-2016: Tutored 2 siblings (6th and 10th) in all subjects, specifically focused on English and Math, every day after school -2014-2017: Taught health class with Peer Health Exchange in underresourced high schools in the Bronx.
