About Shianne

I have loved working in childcare since before I knew it was work. My 5 younger siblings were the foundation of my childcare knowledge and I have learned so much more in my 8 years as a household manager, nanny, babysitter, and camp counselor. I love being a nanny and being part of a caregiving team. It is so important to me to build a connection with both the parents and the kids I work with. I aim to create a safe, curious, and creative environment. I also always consider growth, development, and interests in every activity I promote. My caregiving philosophy centers positive guidance, redirection, and natural consequences. Some of my favorite activities to do with kiddos include crafting, building, reading, playing pretend, visiting the local library. In my own free time, I am an avid reader and board game player. I'm also a party planner and host; I love quality time with my friends and family.
