I grew up with my little sister who had developmental disabilities. I provided care for her her entire life and also acted as her legal guardian. Her favorite thing to do was to be out in the world, interacting with people. Because of her, my first job as an adult was caring for people with developmental disabilities. Treating people in an age-appropriate manner and with respect is very important to me. I went on to become an elementary teacher. I worked with a lot of kids who were on the autism spectrum and many other kids who needed special help. I would enjoy providing care for someone else! I am trained in first aid and CPR. I enjoy animals. I have a perfect driving record.
