About Corey

I taught elementary for 10 years before I became an artist who works from home. I tutor on occasion after school at my house. I'm certified in teaching kids with dyslexia. I've also had special training to coach kids with executive functioning (planning, sticking with things, organizing, impulse control). I also have plenty of experience with kids on the autism spectrum. I love art and making art with kids. I really enjoy the company of kids of any age. I have been told by the kids that I work with that I am thought of as fun, energetic, easy-going, and that I'm good at explaining my rules and expectations. I strive to be a positive influence in the lives of all children I know. I believe consistency is incredibly important for kids so I strive to be very consistent and reliable. I also strive to be active and keep kids engaged. I am trained in CPR and I love animals. I have a clean background and driving record as well as reliable transportation.
