About Colleen

A little about myself: I am 23 and just graduated from UCSB, studying Sociology, and just moved back to Santa Cruz. I have over 7 years of experience working with kids ranging in all ages, in different areas of care. I have worked with infants through mid teens, some with special needs. I was a Junior Lifeguard Instructor in Santa Cruz, teaching kids ocean safety skills, keeping them athletic, and playing outdoor games with their teams. I was a nanny for a young girl with down syndrome, and tutored her, prepared healthy meals, drove her to after school activities, and helped keep their house clean. The opportunity to work with diverse kids has taught me patience and the ability to witness improvements in behavior and learning skills.
