About Colleen

Hi! I am currently a stay-home mom with a wonderful 12-year-old daughter but need to start working part time and thought I'd love to go back to a job that is more than just a job! I have years of experience teaching preschool children, infants, and occasional school age children in Idaho. I, also, was a substitute preschool teacher for three months in Alaska. In addition, I have Fine Art (BFA) and an O. T. (Assoc) degrees and have worked for years with the elderly in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, etc. as an assistant manager and manager of activities and recreational therapy. I have, also, been an O. T. intern in our local school district for children with special needs. I consider myself a loving, honest, and hardworking, mature person who gets a lot of personal fulfillment from helping and being a caretaker, teacher for kids. I have spent years taking care of animals including cats, dogs, birds, and horses. I know how to assist people to live independently and really enjoy going the "extra mile" to make people's days, hopefully, brighter! I have been awarded in the past with "employee of the month/year" for my work with children and the elderly at several different facilities.
