Hi! I'm Colleen and I was a special education teacher for 8 years. I have my Specialist Degree in Special Education and I've always worked with kids with Autism & Intellectual Disabilities. As a former teacher, I am patient, structured, organized, creative, and have excellent communication skills. I believe fresh air is the best medicine right next to creative play! I am CPR & AED certified, along with trained in feeding (feeding tubes & oral), hygiene, changing/toileting, mobility, activities of daily living, seizure first aid, and medicine administration. I have worked closely with OT, PT, & SLPs and am comfortable assisting with therapies. I am a book lover and caring for others fills my cup. Fresh flowers and my dog bring me so much joy! I also love to cook and clean! You can almost always find me reading by my fire pit or in my front porch rocking chair. I would love to care for your child/children, whether they are neurodivergent or not! Their happiness & safety is my priority!
