Hello, My name is Colette W, I am a Designated Service Provider (DSP) though the state of Ohio's department of disability. Currently working as a educational aide at a school for students on the autism spectrum. I work with one student everyday, taking data, dealing with behaviors, helping them with various work we have including, functional life skills, social emotional learning, math and ELA and helping them foster independence. My students in my classroom are all nonverbal using PECS or sign language (I know a small amount of sign language). I am CPR and CPI certified. I am interested in becoming a full time caregiver for a child or young adult who may be on the autism spectrum, have down syndrome or in need of specialized care, starting in August!
