About Cole

Having been passionate about science and math my whole life, I received a degree in Secondary Education for Physics from Arizona State University in 2018, as well as a 'Highly Qualified' certification to teach Physics. With 5 years of in-classroom and one-on-one experience teaching Conceptual, Honors, and AP Physics, I am able to help with and teach any level of Physics from middle-school to undergraduate, as well as most levels of math. As an educator, I focus on big-picture understanding and skill based problem-solving without rote memorization. I strive for a student's "ah-ha" moment in every lesson, and aim to build their confidence in their own abilities and intelligence by carefully challenging them just at the edge of their skill level. My goal with every student, especially in difficult subjects like Physics and Math, is to take their "This is impossible!" attitude and turn it into "This is hard, but I can do it."
