My dad had a pet shop for 30+ years with a ton of different and exotic pets. Monitor lizards, scorpions, chinchillas, parrots, cockatoos, lovebirds, Tons of fish, and lots more. We also had a dog groomer who rented space and I would help her hold the dogs and she taught me a lot like how to do their nails and brush their teeth. I am a strong believer that positive reinforcement is better than discipline for several reasons, but I am not afraid of dogs and I've read books and listened to experts on many different aspects of training.
