About Clementine

In April 2014 I visited my brother and his wife in Louisiana. Unknown to me they were in bad need of a personal caregiver. My back ground is office administration and disability claims management. I had never provided care giving assistance so this was a first for me. What started as a two week visit became a seven month visit! I helped my brother and his wife with their doctor visits, helped them around the house as they were both disabled, did medication reminders, accompanied them on social outings, helped schedule my brother's surgery and sat with him at the hospital until discharged, did cooking at home and general household duties. I learned that I very much liked care giving and after returning home later that year I applied with a care giving agency and thus began my new career. I've had several assignments since then and have found them to be most rewarding. My clients have included patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, short-term memory loss, and paralysis. I love this work!
