About Claudia

I have cared for numerous young children, both in my home country of Bolivia as well as more recently in the United States. I am currently a nanny for two children ages 2 and 4. Unfortunately, the family's needs have changed as they now require someone with a vehicle to transport their son to a far away school following his recent admission through the DCPS lottery system (and I do not drive). I love working with young children; it is more than just a job for me. I try to stay in touch with all of the children I have cared for in the past, this is important. I love taking them out for different activities. I am willing to follow the advice and guidance of the parents, but I have also been trained in Love & Logic behavior techniques and some Montessori concepts. I really only speak Spanish; this is a translated paragraph in fact. The positive part is that your child will definitely hear only Spanish from me, and will learn to converse in the language!

Claudia has worked for us for almost 6 months as a full time nanny and we have to make a change only because our son got into a school in the DC lottery which requires someone to drive him every day and Claudia does not drive or have a car. But otherwise we think she is great. Other people who have seen her in action tell me that she absolutely treats our children like they were her own. This includes my daughter's part time Montessori teacher, and other parents who see her in classes or at the park. One parent told us that she initially thought that Claudia was the mom because of how loving she was with our daughter. She is not perfect, and sometimes doesn't clean up that well at the end of the day. But where it counts the most, i.e. care of the children, she is 100% A+ on that. We would keep her if we could.
