I am a mom and my experience started with my own children. For the last 16 years, I worked at Kids R Kids and Kinder Care with infants to VPK, and teaching Spanish. Also at Redefining Refuge with girls 12-16 years old, survivors of human trafficking. After I left teaching in the classroom setting, I have worked with families with children of different ages from infants to school age. Last 6 years several days a week, I've taken care of a boy since he was 1-year-old and now his brother since he was born. Also I took care of a baby since he was 4 months old. In the past year I also have taken care of a baby since he was 3 months old. I am willing to help and give my best to ensure safety, care and fun. I am CPR certified, I have my background check. Also CDA and some other courses on child development. I also speak Spanish and Italian and love to cook for them. I can help with Baby Led Weaning. Schedule, napping, bottles, and whatever is needed. Claudia is amazing. It’s hard to put into words what Claudia has done for me and my family. I know that sounds dramatic but it’s true. As new parents, we really didn’t know what we were doing (who really does?!) and Claudia helped us through the transition and taught us so many things. She is an expert in infant and toddler care taking. We were terrified to have our baby start in solids and within a few short months he was eating everything and loved healthy foods like sardines and vegetables. She eased so much of our anxiety and we always knew our son was in good hands with Claudia. She is an excellent cook, great communicator, she’s trustworthy, attentive and makes expert recommendations that make your life easier, and my son loved her. Claudia cared for our son from 5 months to 1 year. I was so sad to leave her when we moved from Florida to Chicago but again, Claudia made the transition easy. She flew with me and my son while my husband drove our dog and belongings to Chicago. She spent two weeks with me in Chicago to help me interview Nannies; incredible. I cried when she left. The care and thought that Claudia provides is unbelievable. I truly felt so cared for and supported and so did my husband. Anyone is lucky to work with Claudia. You will be hard pressed to find someone like her. To make things even better, Claudia has an incredible sense of humor which is so appreciated.
