I've been a caregiver for 9 years & an LPN for 4 years. I have given care to patients ranging in age from children to elders. I have experience in hospitals to assist patients with acute and chronic illnesses, Long-term care & Assisted Living, home health & private agencies. I have given aid to persons with health concerns that vary from para- and quadriplegia, dementia and other cognitive health concerns, non-verbal patients, dialysis, respiratory, PEG feeding tubes, spinal cord injuries, and post-strokes, fall risk clients, (brittle) diabetics and many others. I have actual, hands-on experience executing life saving techniques to include CPR and the Abdominal Thrust Maneuver (formally known as the Heimlich).
