HI! I have always prided myself in being compassionate, kind, accepting and creative. I am a fun-loving woman who loves to help others! While in college over the last 4 years I have used every opportunity to broaden my experiences with children and adults of all backgrounds. I have worked at a residential camp in Maine for the past 4 summers where it was my responsibility to lead a group of 100, 13-15-year-old girls and mentor 32 camp counselors. I was able to provide experiences to them that helped them approach life with courage and confidence. Weekly, I was able to volunteer at the Children's Hospital with the children who were being treated there. I have worked as a Respite Care Aide for children with physical and intellectual disabilities during my tenure at Iowa State and fell in love with the field. I am currently interning at Special Olympics Minnesota during the week and work as a program leader for Camp Fire working with underprivileged teens. I hope I can help your family!
