About Claire

I'd describe my personality as intuitive, silly, and inquisitive. I like caring for seniors because it's often as much about caring for their families as it is for them. I have seen the toll caring for seniors can take on their families. Even a few hours of normalcy can be an enormous relief. In my spare time, I love to read fiction set in new worlds, paint and draw, and dream of spring gardening. 3 of my grandparents lived into their 90's. I always loved hearing their stories and imagining the world from their youth. My grandpa came to live with my parents when he lost his memory. I saw how taxing it was for them to take care of him. I did my best to support them. This often looked like talking to him and keeping him company as well as fixing him meals. My skills include respite care, meal prep, and light housework.
