About Claire

I was raised by parents who immersed me in classic literature, music, and art from an earlier age. I chose to further pursue my liberal arts education at the University of Dallas where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in History in 2014. Throughout my school years, I have taken years of lessons in all kinds of visual arts: watercolor, oil painting, charcoal, pen and ink, and sculpture. For two summers, I had the incredible opportunity to study at the classically based Schuler School of Fine Art in Baltimore, MD. I also spent one semester taking art classes at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts as well as at Nelson Shanks atelier, Studio Incamminati. I have a passion for representational art and I love sharing that passion with others. Over the past few years, I have taught classes and tutored individual students in literature, grammar, history, math, and art, as well as teaching art and third grade at a classical charter school in San Antonio, TX.
