About Claire

My name is Claire and I am part-time elementary school teacher looking to supplement my income. I have always loved being with children (I grew up in large family; babysitting younger siblings, cousins, and nieces and nephews). During high school, I tutored in Art, English, and Mathematics. After attending several art schools and receiving a BA in History Summa Cum Laude from a liberal arts college, I taught for two years at a classical charter school in San Antonio; teaching art (K-4th) and third grade. I believe that no child is too young to develop a love of learning and a natural curiosity for the world around them. It is my goal to inspire creative learning and imagination through warmth, joy, and wonder. I am passionate about creating a child-centered environment that is full of beauty and rich sensory opportunity.
