About Claire

I have been babysitting kids since I was a kid! Of course, during those years of babysitting the adults were simply in the next room & I did not get paid. I continued to babysit throughout high school & college. My main responsibilities included engaging the kids in fun activities, serving meals, & helping in nightly routines (e. g bath time). My experience with children extends beyond the home environment into the school and after school world. I have interned at a few different locations & worked with kids of all sorts. My most recent internship was at Hooker Oak Elementary School where I worked in a fourth grade classroom. Prior to this I interned at Chico Children's Community Center, where I worked with 3-5-year-olds, as well as The Boys & Girls Club. I love taking care of & working with kids so much so that I have decided to become a teacher; I am currently in the process of applying to credential programs.
