I am currently a 20-year-old certified nursing assistant in a long term facility and have been doing so for almost 2 years as I have gained so much experience there it's become very challenging. I instantly fell in love with my residents and the work I did when I first began my journey into being a cna as time had passed the job became so much more exhausting and stressful. I wouldn't say I'm experiencing "burn out" as some would say I think I just need a job that can bring my love back for being a care giver. It didn't used to feel like a job it felt like hanging out with my residents I even had fun. I currently take on taking care of 15 residents and it's a lot on one person mentally and physically so I'm venturing out to try and lower the workload and focus on taking care of one at a time so that they can get my full attention and amazing care.
