I have been working with a little boy with down syndrome and autism for that last year and it has been so rewarding. When I started he was nonverbal and now he's beginning for form full sentences correctly. Watching him grow and learn life skills has been amazing and I'd like to continue in this line of work. The past 2 1/2 years I have worked with a medically fragile boy on hospice. I did a lot of nurse delegated activities and learned a lot about g tubes and neuromuscular disorders. I am currently with a child that has CP and autism. I have been with them for 9 months now :) I've learned more about different communication devices and emotion regulation.
