About Chyna

Hi Family! Let me start by saying that I love working with children, but specifically being able to share their imagination & learn from the individuality that every child encompasses. I am working towards my BA degree in Early Childhood Education & working full time as a Direct Support Professional at Bancroft's Pre-School & Early Education Program. Bancroft serves those with intellectual & developmental disabilities, autism, & behavioral challenges etc. I primarily help with schoolwork, transportation, feeding, bathing, building positive social behaviors, potty training, & fostering independence. I accompany verbal and non-verbal students to speech & occupational therapy. I have worked directly with 3-5yr olds for 1 year and currently w/ ages 6-10. I'm trained to work with children who have self-injurious behaviors, aggressions, & elopement tendencies. I have learned & grown so much at Bancroft & my hope is to care for more children ON or OFF the spectrum in a range of settings.
