Hi there! My name is Christy. I am Licensed Elementary and Moderate Disabilities public school teacher. 9 years nanny experience and 3 years teaching experience (with and without disabilities). I am from the Boston area and have just relocated to Portland, Maine. Looking for PT/Summer childcare work before entering the Maine schools in Fall 2024. (May be willing to extend into Fall!) Licenses held are Elementary 1-6, Moderate Disabilities K-8, Theater, All Levels and ELL eligibility in MA, as well as K-3 and General Elementary in ME. I have extensive experience with behavior needs and Autism, as well as a variety of special needs, including with dually identified students. I love using positive reinforcement and clear expectations with children, as well as incorporating my love of theater and performing into my teaching and childcare practice (social stories and songs are my thing!)
