Caring for children and teens has been a passion of mine ever since I got my first babysitting job at age 11. I cared for my sister, who is 7 years younger than me and has special needs, as well as the 4 neighbor kids who were all under the age of 8, for over 5 years while we were neighbors. I volunteered at Sunday school with the 3-year-olds for several years during junior high and high school. For 4 summers during college, I worked as a residential and day camp counselor with kids ages 10 through 13. I planned activities, played in the pool and at the lake, led hikes, did devotionals, and developed relationships with over 400 children throughout those 4 summers. My passion for kids has led me to be a high school guidance counselor, for which I have my master's degree in school counseling and am licensed in the state of Indiana. I am finishing up my first year as a counselor at a senior high school. I have my own transportation, am a non-smoker, and am dedicated to doing the best I can in whatever I do.
