I have nanny experience that spans all the way back to 2001. My first family was a live-in experience, they had twins born 3 weeks after I moved in. I lived/worked with them until they decided they no longer needed a nanny when the kiddos were 2 years old. After that, I went back to school, with a focus on becoming a nurse. During that time, I became a CNA, and worked in a hospital NICU, and had a steady babysitting job for 2 families of doctors affiliated with the hospital. I left the nursing program mid-program, due to some family issues, and again worked as a nanny, this time for 5 years with a family from just before baby #2 was born (big sister was 1. 5 years), until they decided they no longer needed full time help when the girls were both in school full time. For the past 8 years, I have been employed in the healthcare setting, as a CNA primarily in a postpartum unit, but was working as an MA in a busy pediatric clinic for the past 10 months.
