Hello. I have worked as a high school special education teacher for the past 15 years. The students in my classroom have a variety of disabilities which allows me to incorporate numerous learning styles and lessons in my classroom daily. I have come to realize that no two students learn exactly the same and that differentiation, creativity and patience are the keys to success. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Eastern Illinois University (2008). I am certified to teach grades K-12. I have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University (2013). I have an teaching English as a Second Language Endorsement (ESL). I am also certified as a Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS 1). I am proud to announce that I am a mom or two kiddos. Ages 7 and 10. I am out for summer vacation and looking for some additional jobs interacting with kids and families. Thank you.
