I have worked as a Home Manager for Direct Support Companies providing continuous care and support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I have experience with providing full support to persons supported on all activities of daily living. Including but not limited to bowel movement management, urinary incontinence, showering, oral care, and all other daily hygeine routines, cooking and feeding, etc. I have worked closely with individuals who have cerebral palsy, dementia, behavioral issues, seizure disorders, PICA, Rhetts, etc. I am familiar with and follow the NADSP code of ethics and always make sure to provide a person centered approach with the needs and wants of the individuals as my first priority.
