Hi, my name is Christine. I am looking for part-time Reading Tutor opportunities this summer 2023 as well as a part-time nanny position for school-aged children. In June I will be completing two years as an AmeriCorps Reading Tutor at Westwood Elementary in Bloomington. The training and work experience has been tremendous. I absolutely love working with children and have been very successful in my tutor position. I am planning on working as a reading support paraprofessional next fall. I started tutoring for three families in 2020 during Covid. I enjoyed it so much I signed on with AmeriCorps. Prior to that I worked for Delta Airlines for 34 years as a Senior Developer and Analyst. During Covid 2020 I decided to take a retirement package. My undergraduate degrees from UMD were in English and Communications and I completed several graduate courses at St Thomas in Education. I enjoy walking, exercise classes, pickleball and reading a good novel.
