Growing up I've always had a way with children. I have been babysitting since the age of 15 and it started with kids of my neighborhood. At 21 I started a full time job that required 50+ hour work weeks so unfortunately I had to put babysitting aside. One of my most memorable experiences with baby sitting was when I had to care for a 3 and 8-year-old, along with 3 dogs (pugs) for 10hrs straight. The 8-year-old has type 1 diabetes, and is allergenic to gluten and the 3-year-old has separation anxiety. I took this job on very short notice due to a family a emergency they had. I was responsible to make all 3 meals and snacks for the kids, tidy up, entertain, and balance walking/feeding the dogs. Along with having to get everyone ready for bed, I would have to give medication, test blood sugar in between meals and make sure everything is in tact. I always made sure to send texts to the parent to keep her up to date along with cute random pictures of the kids and dogs.
