I hired Chris when I was asked to care for 4 older kids after school. I already had 3 little ones. Although those children were only to be with us for 2 hours, the quality of that time is important for a pleasant evening ahead. Chris, with her great laugh and love of kids immediately understood what needed to be done. Her philosophy was to have the individual child's needs met and planned the afternoon accordingly. She found that 2 of the kids needed to burn off energy, 1 was always starving and the other could go either way. Prior to the arrival of the bus she had each child's snack prepped and a high energy game set up and ready to go. Once those essential needs were met, the children settled in to play quiet games with a few doing homework at the parents request. I can't describe how happy these parents were to have their kids loved and nurtured by Chris. We hear from the families from time to time and they still talk about the fun times they had together.
