We have our dog, Lilly, adopted her from the Human Society in Phoenix, AZ. Previous to Lilly and before marriage and starting a family, I had two cats, Honey, had her for 10 years and adopted her from PetSmart, then Little Kitty, had her for 3 years. Little Kitty was a stray kitten. I took her in one early cold wet morning. She was ill, I took her in and found that she had a urinary track infection, I followed the doctor's prescription and she did well until the UI was so bad that she did not move, sadly, for me, she had to go to heaven. Many times have I pet sat for friends and more recently for my next door neighbors when they took their children to college. Some time ago, my boss and I saw two puppies trying to get water from a canal, the sides of the canal were to steep and it was a very hot day. We picked them up, they had no tags, brought them to our office where we watered and fed them. Then took then too a local Humane Society. Ironically, that happen one year to the day when Little Kitty had to go to heaven, God reminded me (in a way) that I still had a heart of caring.
