About Christine
Excited to be back in Hawaii and looking forward to starting my next adventure! I've been working in the childcare/education field for nearly 20 years. I have extensive experience in both the public and private classroom settings. I have spent a few years as a childcare classroom teacher as well as center director. I am also a trained birth and postpartum doula as well as a childbirth educator and lactation consultant. I am still happily serving families through birth work. Most recently, before relocating, I taught art K-5 at a private school as well as owned an art studio and taught private and group lessons. I have experience with newborns through teens and am a fan of educating through play and am an advocate for Montessori style learning paired with traditional "classroom" type of work. I love to provide a creative and interactive environment for my own family as well as those that I have the honor of working with. More experience and references upon request.

Christine is a nanny unicorn! She was able to handle our COVID pod of 5 rambunctious kids (6, 4, 3, 1 & 5m) from 8-4, 5 days a week. While keeping them all safe, loved and fed, she was also able to help our son with speech therapy (less than 10 words at 3), tutor the 6yo and assist with his distance learning, and put the babies down for naps. She always made time to engage the kids in fun arts and crafts projects as well as help them learn to play together and communicate. She is also engaging and interesting to talk to as a parent; full of childcare and parental knowledge and experience. If you are choosing between candidates, pick Christine. She is simply the best.
