About Christine

I have worked with kids in both academic settings and for individual families. I love caring for kids, seeing them thrive, and encouraging them in their academic and character growth. This spring, I was a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for Second Grade at Gaarde Christian School. I prepped and taught all core classes, was responsible for classroom management, parent communication, and grading for 16 students. Prior to this, I worked as a teacher's aide and support staff at Island Christian Academy. I was a teacher's aide in preschool and kindergarten and covered the front desk and monitored recess and lunches as needed. I have also worked for many families as a nanny, or recurring baby-sitter. These positions included a family with three girls, ages ranging from infant to 6-years-old, a family with an active 3-year-old boy, and another for an 8-year-old girl who I tutored so she could complete her schooling from home.
