I enjoy caring for seniors because quality of life is important to me. I believe the longer an individual can live safely in their own home with their needs met is ideal. I believe I can provide that care and fill in the gaps where friends and family may not be able to. There may be tasks such as hygiene care that a loved one and the family may prefer an outside individual assist with. Ideally I could provide a weekly visit to assist with basic housekeeping, hygiene, and wellness checks to possibly report back to the family. My senior care experience started when I was 17 as a certified nursing assistant. I worked at many different long term care facilities, memory care units, and in home health. My child care experience started when I was a full time nanny to twins from birth until 10 months. Throughout my twenties I babysat on a regular basis and truly love being around children.
