About Christina

I am currently a Site Supervisor at a Head Start in San Francisco, I was a teacher eight years before that. I have my AA and BA in early childhood development, with specializations in special needs and infant/toddlers. I know a bit of ASL as well. I have 2 children of my own, who are teenagers now. I have experience with children who may need additional support and recourses. I also have experience leading classrooms of 12 to 24 children who are preschool ages, working in classrooms with infants and toddlers ages 6 months to 5 years old, and working with older children in an after school program. I know how hard it was for me to leave my babies with a stranger, so I understand the fears. I like to get to know the families to help ease into the child's routine. Children can find change hard to adjust to sometimes, and even scary. I am knowledgeable with many aspects of children and the nutritional, safety and health needs.
