Enter a zip code to get matched with caregivers that meet your needs
I worked there for many years as I moved up from an assistant to an actual childcare worker. I helped teach and create lesson plans for the students, as well as making sure all their needs were met like serving lunch and making sure they slept for nap time. During the same time as working in the daycare, I was also a camp counselor where I would watch young children to ensure their safety and fun at the camp. During my time at camp I learned CPR and first aid treatment. When it was time for me to go to college I joined an organization where I was matched with adults with special needs and I was able to become their friends and treat them as equals who just had a lot of fun in Lubbock. I became a teacher and learned to teach elementary students in all subject areas. This has not only increased my knowledge of child care, but also my managerial skills. I love to organize!
