Growing up I knew my little sister was different but in my house we never treated her differently . We communicated in ways I thought were normal and played like regular children . As I got older an got into middle school and high school I realized that society treated special needs ppl differently when at home there is no difference. I had my first real job at 16 as a DSP ( direct support professional) for youth and adults with disabilities . An I still look after my younger sister from time to time .
