About Christie

I have been a caregiver for the past 11 yrs or so. Have loved every minute! My first time taking care of someone was my mother. She battled cancer for about 5 - 6 yrs. It helps when going thru those personal sicknesses or getting older you want some there who is just not a worker but someone who cares what they think and how they feel about what is going on with their body's and their minds. A lot of them want to be home in their comfort place or at least what makes them comfortable during their battles. Caring, listening being a caregiver helps with working with and for them. We have to remember we all to could fall sick and even grow old. Patient and an opened loving mind go along with it. In my spare time, I like to spend as much time with my children and my grandchildren. My skills include preparing meals, feeding , bathing, dressing light cleaning. Even if they aren't able to get out of bed. I have worked with bed sores if they have developed. Hygiene is a being thing with care.
