About Christie

At 35, I quit my job at a record label to take care of my grandfather (93) for 6 months while he recovered from a stroke. My "family shift" was 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. I accompanied him to daily physical, occupational and speech therapy, lunch/nap time before I took him back through the skills he learned earlier that morning followed by our favorite - hot, humid, front porch time together. After returning to work and spending years running domestic and international disaster operations followed by business operations for a global consulting firm, I'm returning to my happy place - hands-on, personal work where my empathy, kindness, patience and work ethic shine. Today my priorities include better work/life balance, supporting my nieces through their pre/teen years, parents as they enter their 80's and finding continued joy working long hours in my micro flower farm.
