About Christie

For five years I had the privilege of serving students from K-6 as a teacher, aide and after school program director at a private school; for two years as a fifth grade teacher, and for the last two years, as a kindergarten teacher. Working with the students themselves, has been the utmost joy. Yes, like any job, there are difficult days. However, seeing student growth throughout the year is so incredibly rewarding. When teaching kindergarten, seeing students who were in tears at the beginning of the year, because they couldn't read, be, by the end of the year, able to read, was so inspiring. I believe that it is important that students receive the best education and that educators help them grow in their knowledge and as people.
