During high school and college I would regularly babysit for families at our local church caring for kids a variety of ages (infant-10 years). I did everything from change diapers, prepare meals, playtime outside (vs. just sitting in front of the couch!), get the kids to bed (bathtime, teeth-brushing, goodnight stories and occasional dramatic acts!), drive kids to and from school, help with homework, and maintain whatever the household rules were (i.e. no TV after 7pm, specific bedtime, etc.). Generally I try to uphold whatever the house rules are as dictated by the parents/caregivers to keep the consistency. I love kids, their spirits and creative minds.
