I have cared for infants whose parents aren't confident in how to care for or doesn't have the time a child with special needs. Every person is treated as a different individual, regardless of diagnosis. If communication has proven difficult in the past, finding ways to be with each person isn't a problem for me (I'm pretty creative!). Bringing companionship as well as care for someone with special needs is an ideal way to approach anyone who needs or appreciates my help. Music therapy and sign language have helped me communicate with and teach some clients. Being legally certified as an adult and pediatric first aid/CPR/AED responder also can give some parents more peace of mind. I left college on medical leave before deciding to withdraw completely to educate myself in fields more relevant to my life and what I can get out of it. I'm here to help. My schedule MIGHT restrict me on rare occasion, but helping you comes first.
