About Chrissie

Hello! I am an elementary school teacher with 19 years experience working with and caring for children, ages 0-12. I am creative and outgoing and love supporting children and their families through all of childhood's developmental stages. My background is in developmental/play based learning and progressive education. I believe in caring for the whole child, fostering a love of learning, nature and intrinsic motivation. I strive to help children feel a sense accomplishment, by giving them appropriate responsibilities, allowing them to make mistakes and learn and grow from those mistakes. I am well practiced in helping children grow their communication and problem solving skills. I love music, art, sports, being outside, exploring, playing and learning new things. I am a mother of two ages 23 and 14 and have thoroughly loved raising my children. I am reliable, professional and dedicated.
