I always felt drawn to helping individuals with disabilities. Growing up, my best friend had a few different disabilities that required therapy interventions. Later on, I fell in love with working in the field of therapy when I was a physical therapy aide in hippo therapy for children with disabilities. Since then, my interest has only continued to grow and evolve as I have worked in various programs ranging from Special Olympics, to warm water exercise therapy, to working in a Joint Replacement Physical Therapy Program at the hospital. As I continue to work towards graduate school, I hope to continue to build upon the skills and knowledge I have gained thus far to become a more effective and experienced health care aide and provider.
