First experience with special needs was when I was 5 years old, I had just been adopted into a family who had already adopted another child. His name was J, as we grew up together I realized he was a little different than what I was used to. I learned to adapt my behavior around him, and I learned how to give him the assistance he needed. He mostly just liked that I didn't treat him differently because he was different, he taught me to be open-minded.
